Unleash Creativity and Code the Future This Summer!
Join Newburgh Creates and OpenHub Project for a hands-on Summer Lab Series where young innovators explore the intersection of design, technology, and creative problem-solving. Located at 10 Carpenter Ave, Newburgh, NY, our camps offer an inspiring space for kids aged 9–14 to build, code, and create across five unique weeklong labs.
From robotics and game design to urban planning and physical computing, each session empowers students to learn real-world tech skills in a fun, collaborative environment.
Tuition: Prices vary per lab.
Dates: Weekly sessions run from July 7 to August 22
Camp Hours:
Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• Morning session: 9:00–12:30
• Optional afternoon session: 1:00–3:30

JUNIOR CODING Lab – Creative coding for beginners using Scratch
BUILDLab – Invent with Arduino and Raspberry Pi
CITYLab – Urban planning meets coding with LEGO, Scratch, and Minecraft

Weekly Camps
JULY 7 – 11
JUNIOR CODING Lab
Learn the foundations of coding through games, animations, and interactive stories, using Scratch, a visual programming language developed by MIT.
JULY 14 – 18
BUILDLab
Explore physical computing with Arduino and Raspberry Pi. This hands-on camp combines coding, electronics, and design thinking to empower students to create tech solutions like smart sensors, interactive games, and light installations.
JULY 21 – 25
CITYLab
In CITYLab, students become designers, coders, and creative problem-solvers as they reimagine cities using urban planning, design thinking, and coding tools like Minecraft, Roblox, and Scratch.
JULY 28 – AUGUST 8
GAMELab
Become a game designer, storyteller, and digital creator as you explore how games are made—and what makes them great. Using platforms like Scratch and Roblox Studio, you will build their own interactive games from the ground up.
AUGUST 11 – 22
ROBOLab
Dive into the world of robotics by building and programming LEGO robots for fun challenges and competitions.
